Gelonghui, March 25 | BOC International (03329.HK) announced that for the year ended December 31, 2023, the company's total revenue was HK$613.2 million, a significant increase over the previous year. Affected by the severe market environment, the Group's loss during the year was HK$1,469.5 million, while in 2022 it was HK$2,983.8 billion, a decrease of 51% year-on-year. The Group's net current assets increased by HK$3.458 billion to HK$4,058 billion as at 31 December 2023.

In 2023, due to the mixed effects of factors such as the European and American banking crisis and the implementation of the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike plan, global capital market sentiment was sluggish, and the yield of cash and cash management products continued to be high. Investors, especially retail customers, were still not very willing to invest in the market. On the one hand, the Group's team helps the Group's advantages to continue to expand local customers, enterprises and industrial investment customers and continuously optimize the customer structure; on the other hand, it further deepens cooperation with high-quality asset management institutions in the industry, explores product tools in line with market strategies, and continues to provide customers with strategic and product support that keep pace with the times. Furthermore, we continued to actively adjust our customer structure. During the year, we further strengthened the Group's internal resource linkage, actively cooperated with the Bank of Communications Group's institutions in Hong Kong, and focused on expanding local customers in Hong Kong. The overall results were remarkable, and the scale of linked assets increased dramatically over the same period last year.

In order to cope with rising credit risks, market fluctuations and liquidity risks due to uncertain capital flows, the Group has adopted structural adjustments to strengthen risk management of guaranteed financing.

In 2023, the number of margin customer accounts increased to 9,710. The average monthly loan balance declined slightly. Interest income on margin loans for the year ended 31 December 2023 was HK$109 million, an increase of HK$6.7 million or 6.5% over 2022.
