According to the Zhitong Finance App, Wynn Macau (01128) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained casino revenue of HK$19.111 billion, up 417.18% year on year; total operating income of HK$24.268 billion, up 329.99% year on year; profit attributable to owners of HK$1,172 billion, with a loss of HK$7.339 billion in the same period last year; basic profit per share of HK$0.22, with a final dividend of HK$0.075 per share.
Total operating revenue increased by 330.0% from HK$5.64 billion in 2022 to HK$24.27 billion in 2023, mainly due to increased gaming volume, hotel occupancy and restaurant traffic. Results for 2022 were adversely affected by a number of travel-related restrictions and conditions, including COVID-19 testing, entry restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and other prevention and control measures. From December 2022 to January 2023, the Macau authorities lifted these COVID-19-related protective measures, leading to an increase in business volume in 2023.
Casino revenue increased from HK$3.7 billion (65.5% of total operating revenue) in 2022 to HK$19.11 billion (78.7% of total operating revenue) in 2023, mainly due to increased gaming volume after Macau lifted pandemic-related travel restrictions in late 2022 and early 2023.
