The Malaysian Reserve ·  Mar 20 19:52

Itmax System Bhd's subsidiary, Southmax Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a RM77.1 million contract by the Kulai city council to transform it into a smart city.

The project encompasses video surveillance, traffic light services, a smart command center, and a closed-circuit camera system with AI features, all on a monthly subscription basis for 15 years starting from Mar 26, 2024.

This adds to Itmax's portfolio, which already includes long-term CCTV contracts with three out of four designated Greater Johor Bahru (GJB) town councils.

With an unbilled orderbook of RM870 million, Itmax continues to strengthen its position in the market.
