On March 18, Nvidia unveiled a variety of new computing power products at the GTC conference, including HGX B100, DGX B200, GB200 servers, and matching NVLINK, Quantum X800, and Spectrum X800 switches.

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Open Source Securities released a research report saying that on March 18, Nvidia unveiled a variety of new computing power products at the GTC conference, including HGX B100, DGX B200, GB200 servers, and matching NVLINK, Quantum X800, and Spectrum X800 switches. Currently, as AI application scenarios continue to increase, model inference demand may continue to rise, and booming computing power demand is expected to continue to drive computing network infrastructure construction. It is recommended to continue to pay attention to investment opportunities in fields such as AIDC, optical modules, AI servers, switches, liquid cooling temperature control, optical chips, optical devices, and edge computing power.

The main views of Open Source Securities are as follows:

GTC released a variety of new computing power products around GB200 as the core

On March 18, Nvidia unveiled a variety of new computing power products at the GTC conference, including HGX B100, DGX B200, GB200 servers, and matching NVLINK, Quantum X800, and Spectrum X800 switches. The new Blackwell architecture GPU contains 208 billion transistors and is manufactured using TSMC's 4NP process. Blackwell GPUs are composed of 2 dies with 10TB/s chip-to-chip interconnection. The NVIDIA GraceCPU and GPU are connected through an NVLink-Chip-to-Chip (C2C) interface, which can achieve a bidirectional bandwidth of 900 Gb/s. The overall computing power network architecture is developing further towards integration, and computing power iteration is accelerating. It is recommended to continue to pay attention to the development and investment opportunities of the computing power communication industry chain.

NVLink has been upgraded again, focusing on the development of communication and interconnection technology

GB200 supports 36 or 72 GPUs in the NVLink domain. Based on MGX and NVLink Switch systems, each rack is equipped with 18 compute nodes. The GB200 NVL72 supports 72 GPUs and 18 dual GB200 compute nodes in a single rack, or 72 GPUs and 18 single GB200 compute nodes through two racks. GB200NVL72 introduces fifth-generation NVLink technology, which can connect up to 576 GPUs, providing over 1Pb/s of total bandwidth and 240TB of fast memory in a single NVLink domain.

Each NVLink switch tray provides 144 NVLink ports at 100GB speed, so in the NVL72, nine switches can fully connect to each NVLink port of 72 Blackwell GPUs (18 NVLink ports on each GPU), and the interconnection is achieved through copper cables. Among them, the NVLink GPU-GPU bandwidth is 1.8Tb/s, which is 14 times the PCIe bandwidth. Open Source Securities believes that as demand for computing power continues to grow, demand for communication bandwidth in computing power networks is also increasing, which is expected to further promote the iterative upgrading of communication interconnection technology and focus on development and investment opportunities in related industrial sectors.

The GB200 NVL72 stand-alone power consumption exceeds 100KW, focusing on the development of liquid cooling solutions

The GB200 NVL72 single cabinet consumes 120KW of energy. It uses copper cable interconnection and cold plate liquid cooling system design, which can reduce system cost and energy consumption by 25 times. We believe that as chip power consumption and cabinet power consumption continue to rise, the importance of liquid cooling solutions is gradually reflected, and the liquid cooling penetration rate is expected to increase at an accelerated pace. It is recommended to continue to pay attention to sectors such as optical modules, liquid cooling, and robots.
