According to the announcement, the company signed the “Investment Intent Contract for the New 6GWH Sodium-ion New Energy Battery Project” with the Xinfeng County Government to invest in the construction of a new energy industrial park for sodium-ion batteries and materials. The project mainly produces and operates R&D, production and sales of sodium-ion batteries and materials, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. The reason for the termination of the contract of intent to invest this time was due to factors such as the company's strategic development.
However, Kexiang Co., Ltd. replied on an interactive platform on February 21 that the company did not terminate the sodium-ion battery project. In October 2023, the company signed the “Kexiang 8GWH Sodium-ion Energy Storage Battery and Related Product Project Investment Agreement” with the Huizhou Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee and decided to invest in the construction of the “Kexiang 8GWH Sodium Ion Energy Storage Battery and Related Product Project” in the Huizhou Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone. Currently, the project is progressing normally.
In fact, Kexiang Co., Ltd. successively laid out sodium-ion batteries and cathode materials in 2023, which initially reflects the company's sodium-electric integration plan.
On the sodium-ion battery terminal, the company signed an “Investment Cooperation Agreement” with the Qingdao Sodium Core Enterprise Management Partnership on January 11, 2023. The two parties jointly invested in the establishment of Kexiang Sodium to manufacture and sell sodium-ion batteries, and guarantee to produce sodium-ion battery products that meet the marketing requirements no later than the end of July 2023.
On the material side, on January 30, 2023, the company purchased 51% of Jiangsu Shengxing Fuhua New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for 53.55 million yuan to lay out sodium electrocathode materials.
Kexiang Co., Ltd. specializes in R&D, production and sales of high-density printed circuit boards. The company was founded in 2001 and has PCB production bases in Huizhou, Shenzhen and Jiujiang in China.
