前瞻英伟达GTC2024:除了B100,还有这些亮点

Looking ahead to Nvidia GTC2024: in addition to the B100, there are also these highlights

All Weather TMT ·  Mar 17 16:29

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$The GTC conference will be held simultaneously from March 18 to 21 at the San Jose Convention Center and online. This is one of Nvidia's most important technology launch platforms every year, and is recognized by the industry as an “AI weather vane.”

In response, analysts Liu Wenshu and Li Peijing of Zheshang Securities said in the latest report that Nvidia is expected to release the Blackwell architecture and B100 chip at the conference, and the hardware series will be fully upgraded. Nvidia's range of robotic applications is also expected to be iterated. Additionally, Nvidia will release a series of generative AI applications, which may become a new growth point for it.

Data center: Blackwell architecture brings data center and gaming GPU upgrades

Analysts at Zheshang Securities wrote in the report that one of Nvidia's core technologies is the ability to design and iterate on microarchitectures. According to DigiTimes, the Blackwell architecture will use TSMC's 3nm process and will be extended to data centers and consumer-grade GPUs, while the next generation GPU-B100 uses a multi-chip (MCM) design to divide GPU components into independent chips, which has greater flexibility in customized chips and greatly improved pre-computational power.

The report also mentioned that Nvidia's chip cooling technology will be upgraded from the previous “air cooling” to a “water cooling” solution, and that the power consumption of a single GPU of the flagship AI computing chip B200 launched in 2025 is expected to reach 1000W.

Edge side: robot series software and hardware are expected to be iterated

Analysts at Zheshang Securities said that the Nvidia Jetson series is a computing platform for edge AI and robots, including Nano, TX2, Xavier NX, AGX Xavier series hardware and Isaac platforms, which can simplify the robot development process, accelerate the process from prototyping to actual deployment, and enable robots to better interact with the surrounding environment.

The report shows that currently more than 1.2 million developers and more than 10,000 customers have chosen Nvidia robotics development solutions, including Amazon Web Services, Cisco, John Deere, Medtronic, PepsiCo, and Siemens.

Generative AI applications: Nvidia's long-term growth point

Analysts at Zheshang Securities expect Nvidia to release WPP/NVIDIA engines for digital advertising, RTX Chat, an industrial metaverse supported by SyncTwin, and OpenAI to create code for Blender animations.

AI+X applications: Continuously deepening applications in various industries such as medical care, retail, manufacturing, entertainment, etc., to promote innovation in various industries

Presentations worth looking forward to at the Nvidia GTC conference mentioned by analysts at Zheshang Securities in the report include:

Kimberly Powell, VP of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Nvidia, will deliver a speech entitled “Empowered by Generative AI, the Healthcare Industry Will Become One of the Biggest Technology Industries” to explore a new era of healthcare driven by generative AI and accelerated computing.

Guests from ARK Investment Management LLC, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Scripps Research will present a presentation entitled “The Role of Generative AI in Modern Medicine” to discuss ways to make these technologies not only tools, but also key drivers for redefining medical services, discovering new drugs, and improving patient outcomes.

WPP Chief Technology Officer Stephan Pretorius will present a presentation entitled “AI and the Radical Transformation of Marketing” to explore how the marketing and advertising industry can innovatively apply generative AI and 3D design through Nvidia Omniverse and enterprise-grade AI technology, and to showcase the pioneering work of WPP in collaboration with its major clients.
