According to the Zhitong Finance App, Shengyang Investment (00174) issued an announcement. It is expected that the Group may obtain a comprehensive loss of not more than HK$675 million belonging to the company's shareholders for the year ended December 31, 2023, and an audited comprehensive loss belonging to the company's shareholders of about HK$296 million for the year ended 31 December 2022.

According to the announcement, the loss was mainly due to a decline in the fair value of the Group's investment properties. The recovery of the global economy continues to be hampered by (among others) the decline in asset prices due to repeated interest rate hikes by major central banks and the continuing slowdown in the US and Hong Kong real estate markets. The fair value of the Group's investment properties was affected as a result.
