旅發局公布，在農曆新年長假期及多項新春大型盛事的帶動下，2月初步訪港旅客數字為400萬人次，按年上升約1.7倍，當中八成為內地旅客、佔324.6萬人次，按年多近2倍。
累積計算，今年首兩個月共錄得近783萬人次旅客訪港，較去年同期增加3倍；而每日平均旅客量約13萬人次。
