According to the Zhitong Finance App, Shengli Securities (08540) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved a profit of HK$549.661 million during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 28.71%; shareholders' losses of HK$249.98 million, an increase of 3.34% over the previous year; a basic loss of 13.45 HK cents per share; and plans to pay a final dividend of HK0.5 cents per share.

According to the announcement, the decrease in earnings reflects a weaker market climate in 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, and a decrease in customer trading volume, leading to a decrease in revenue mainly from securities/futures brokerage services, fee services and financing services.
