According to the Zhitong Finance App, Jianpeng Holdings (01722) issued an announcement. Compared with the audited pre-tax loss of about MOP 9.6 million in the fiscal year 2022, the Group expects to achieve a loss of no less than MOP 33 million before tax in the year ending December 31, 2023 (fiscal year 2023).

According to the announcement, the Group's pre-tax losses in FY2023 are expected to increase compared to FY2022, mainly due to the decline in gross margin of construction projects undertaken by the Group in FY2023 and the increase in construction costs due to inflation; suspected fraud related to machinery acquisitions caused the Group to lose approximately MOP 4.5 million; and provision for anticipated credit losses on financial and contract assets that have not been paid for more than a year.
