J.P. Morgan published a report stating that the mainland power grid may be connected to more new energy sources. The bank believes that the rumor is possible, mainly considering the mainland's recent renewable energy utilization management at a reasonable level, policies promoting decentralized power generation (DG) deployment, and strategic fixed asset investment to drive economic growth. The bank raised its forecast for China's PV installation volume this year by 21% to 255 gigawatts. Among them, medium-grade photovoltaic glass benefits the most, as supply may be tight during peak seasons. The bank reiterated its “plus” rating for Xinyi Solar and Follett Glass. The target price for Xinyi Solar was raised from HK$6.4 to HK$7.6, and the target price for Follett Glass was raised from HK$20.5 to HK$23.5.
