According to the Zhitong Finance App, Haitiandi Yuetu (01832) issued an announcement. The board of directors expects the Group to obtain a loss of about 23 million US dollars due to the company's shareholders in the fiscal year 2023, while the loss attributable to the company's shareholders for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2022 is about 11.4 million US dollars.
According to the announcement, the increase in losses was mainly due to the full resumption of business operations at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan (for the entire fiscal year 2023) and Crowne Plaza Resort Guam (from March 2023), which led to a sharp increase in operating expenses of several hotels. In particular, the sharp increase in utility costs and operating expenses, and a significant increase in staff costs due to the fact that the above two hotels maintained full employment from the date they each reopened according to operating requirements, while the two resorts only maintained full staff for the last month of the previous year. In addition, the Group confirmed depreciation and amortization expenses (non-cash items) relating to the Group's assets of approximately $10.9 million.
