According to the Zhitong Finance App, SDM Education (08363) announced its second interim results for the 12 months ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$178 million during the period, an increase of 8.19% over the previous year; losses attributable to shareholders were HK$126.88 million, a year-on-year decrease of 65.88%; and a basic loss of HK1.98 cents per share.

The announcement stated that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all dance centres of the Group have been closed since January 2022 to comply with the HKSAR Government's epidemic prevention policies and measures. The Dance Centre reopened in April 2022, and operations have since returned to normal. As a result, revenue from the Academy of Dance division increased substantially during the reporting period. As a result, total revenue increased.
