According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Environmental Resources (01130) announced interim results for the six months ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved profit of HK$40,558 million during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 5.21%; shareholders' losses of HK$46.091 million, an increase of 1517.8% over the previous year; and a basic loss of HK2.26 cents per share.

According to the announcement, the decline in earnings was mainly due to revenue from the metal recycling business and a decrease in sales of luxury cars and related parts.
