According to the Zhitong Finance App, Power Construction (00519) announced interim results for the six months ended December 31, 2023. The Group's revenue was HK$22.39,000, a year-on-year decrease of 68.38%; shareholders' losses amounted to HK$33.53 million, an increase of 30.74% over the previous year; and a loss of 1.24 HK cents per share.

The announcement said that since the second half of 2023, with the implementation of China's economic stabilization policy, the Chinese economy is gradually recovering from the impact of the three-year COVID-19 pandemic, recovering at an accelerated pace and improving steadily, and the economic development is showing a positive trend of recovery. However, the global external environment is complex and changing. Due to inflation and geopolitical issues, the overall austerity situation still exists, and sales of some properties in the Wuxi Property Project belonging to the Group are still facing challenges. Looking ahead to 2024, in the face of diverse and complex external adverse factors, the Group will adhere to the overall idea of putting “stability” first, seek new development opportunities in “stability”, strengthen its ability to seize new opportunities, and continuously optimize the Group's asset structure and quality of business development.
