① Saudi Aramco also discovered 15 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas reserves at the local Jafurah (Jafurah) oil field; ② The oil field's natural gas reserves reached 229 trillion cubic feet, and condensate reserves reached 75 billion barrels.

IFA, Feb. 26 (Editor Li Lin/Intern Editor Gao Jianing) Saudi Energy Minister Abdul Salman announced on Sunday that Saudi Aramco's local Jafurah (Jafurah) oil field has discovered another 15 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas reserves. Since then, the oil field's natural gas reserves have reached 229 trillion cubic feet, and condensate reserves have reached 75 billion barrels.

In November of last year, Saudi Aramco discovered two gas fields in the Empty Quarter (Empty Quarter), namely Al-Hiran and Al-Mahakik, and also discovered two gas fields near Dhahran and Hofuf in the Eastern Province.

According to reports, the Hanifa reservoir at the Al-Hiran-1 well produces 30 million cubic feet of natural gas and 1,600 barrels of condensate every day, and the Al-Arab-C reservoir in the same oil field also discovers natural gas, with a flow rate of 3.1 million standard cubic feet per day.

At the Al-Mahakeek gas field, gas is ejected from the Al-Mahakeek-2 well with a daily flow rate of 850,000 standard cubic feet.

Additionally, five gas reservoirs have been discovered in previously discovered gas fields, such as the Jalla reservoir in the Assekra oil field — gas production reached 46 million cubic feet/day.

Earlier this month, Saudi Aramco's CEO Amin H. Nasser said at an international petroleum technology conference that the company is focusing on the sustainability of all types of energy, including oil and gas, and renewable energy production.

Currently, Saudi Aramco is firmly implementing a development strategy centered on oil and gas. However, based on predictable market conditions, Saudi Aramco has suspended the original plan to expand production to 13 million b/d in 2027, and remains at the current level of 12 million b/d.

The company previously planned to increase natural gas production by more than 50% by 2030 and increase the crude oil processing capacity of the petrochemical industry to 4 million b/d by 2030.

At the same time, Saudi Aramco is also investing heavily in low-carbon technologies, including carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), ammonia and hydrogen, and renewable energy to drive the implementation of the country's green and low-carbon transition strategy.
