In the past week (February 15 to February 21), there was a particularly significant rebound in module-side production schedules in the PV industry chain. With the execution of early orders and the prosperity of overseas markets, demand for terminals may increase dramatically. The module production schedule is expected to rise to more than 50 GW in March, ushering in a major turning point.

The reporter learned from the Silicon Industry Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association that in the past week (February 15 to February 21), the rebound in module-side production schedules in the photovoltaic industry chain was particularly remarkable. With the execution of early orders and the prosperity of overseas markets, demand for terminals may have increased dramatically. The module production schedule is expected to rise to more than 50 GW in March, ushering in a major turning point.

According to industry sources, the increase in production schedules is mainly due to the sharp increase in European component orders since February, and there are more centralized projects. Furthermore, South American household storage and Brazilian demand have increased markedly in recent weeks. Zeng Duohong, an analyst at Dongwu Securities, pointed out in the research report that the profit of the H1 PV industry chain bottomed out in '24, production capacity of small second-tier and third-tier factories was delayed, and they have gradually withdrawn. Leaders are highly resilient and concentration has increased. The global PV installed capacity is expected to be about 487 GW in 2024, an increase of about 17%.

According to the Finance Federation's theme library, among the relevant listed companies:

Zhongshan Ruike, a subsidiary of Mingyang Intelligent Holdings, has formed large-scale production capacity for cadmium telluride (CdTe) photovoltaic modules, mainly used in BIPV power generation glass curtain walls and other application scenarios.

Haiyuan Composites has made a breakthrough in photovoltaic copper plating technology and is expected to become the first photovoltaic company in the industry to apply the copper electroplating process. The subsidiary Saiwei Power produces photovoltaic modules.
