According to an announcement from the State Intellectual Property Office, BYD Co., Ltd. has obtained a patent called “Electrolyzer End Plate, Electrolyzer, and Hydrogen Production Equipment”, which means that BYD is further entering the field of hydrogen energy from upstream hydrogen production and is laying out and exploring hydrogen energy technology routes.

As of December 31, 2023, a total of 332 green hydrogen projects are being planned, under construction, and completed nationwide. The announced scale of green hydrogen is about 4.89 million tons/year, corresponding to the electrolyzer demand of nearly 86 GW. Zou Runfang of China Aviation Securities pointed out that according to China's goal of achieving 100,000 to 200,000 tons of renewable hydrogen per year in 2025, the green hydrogen project is expected to start intensively in 2024, and equipment demand will be released first. The Tianfeng Securities Power New Team believes that at this point in time, the focus on the hydrogen energy circuit is optimistic about the hydrogen production process.
