Glonghui, January 16 | UBS released a report saying that the bank's channel inspection showed that Macau's average daily gambling revenue over the past seven days was about 600 million patacas, in line with December's level. Among market segments, midfield gambling revenue increased by about 3% month-on-month, while VIP room gambling revenue remained flat month-on-month, with a win rate of 2.7% to 2.8%. Also, among the 36 hotels tracked by the bank, the average room price for the next 7 days rose to around HK$2,500 per night, compared to HK$2,100 per night in the previous week. During the upcoming Spring Festival, the average hotel room rate remained stable at HK$8,900 per night, in line with the price trend during Golden Week in October 2023. According to the report, the current valuation of the sector is equivalent to predicting that this year's corporate value is about 9.8 times the EBITDA multiple, 1.3 standard deviations below the long-term average. Maintaining a positive view of the sector, MGM China and Galaxy Entertainment are preferred.
