① The A-share “nuclear fusion” concept ushered in a small climax. Libert and Sunway shares led the way, but both companies issued risk warning announcements this evening. ② Over the past few days, nearly ten brokerage firms have published research reports on expectations for controlled nuclear fusion, saying that the commercialization process is expected to accelerate. ③ Many listed companies “dismiss” involving controlled nuclear fusion, which indicates to some extent that there is still a long way to go before commercialization.

Finance Association, January 3 (Reporter Wu Chao) On December 29, a controlled nuclear fusion innovation consortium led by CNNC and composed of 24 state-owned enterprises, research institutes, universities, etc. was announced in Chengdu, Sichuan. Driven by related events, several brokerage firms have reported that commercialization of controlled nuclear fusion is speeding up, related companies are being sought after in the A-share market, and the market also ushered in a small climax. Among them, Libert (605167.SH) and Sunway (603333.SH) led the way, but both companies issued risk warning notices this evening.

According to Wind data, there are currently 30 companies listed as nuclear power concept stocks in the A-share market. Among them, Libert and Sunway shares have been rising and falling for 3 consecutive trading days from December 29 to January 3.

Libert announced tonight that the company is concerned about media and stock bar rumors and believes that the company has the concept of “controlled nuclear fusion.” The company is mainly engaged in the design and manufacture of industrial modules and engineering services. The company's module products are mainly used in chemical and other industries. As of the announcement and disclosure date, the company was not involved in the “controlled nuclear fusion” business in the order.

According to an inquiry from the Financial Services Association reporter, Libert revealed in the 2023 semi-annual report that the company's main business industrial module operates a nuclear electric separation device. This device is used to make helium in nuclear power. It is one of the auxiliary equipment for international thermonuclear fusion test reactors, and requires high welding accuracy and pipeline cleanliness.

Shangwei Co., Ltd. stated that after the company's own investigation and written letters were sent to the controlling shareholder and actual controller for verification, as of the disclosure date of this announcement, there were no major matters affecting abnormal fluctuations in the company's stock trading price other than matters already disclosed by the company, and there was no other important information that should have been disclosed but not disclosed.

It is worth noting that the actual controller of Sunway Co., Ltd. is currently still on bail awaiting trial, and the company has yet to receive a notice on the progress of the new case.

Sunway Co., Ltd. mainly deals in special cables, including cables for nuclear power plants. According to the company's 2023 semi-annual report, cable sales revenue in the nuclear power and new energy market was 213 million yuan, an increase of 7.02% over the previous year.

In addition, Jikang Instruments (830879.BJ) stated in the investor relations activity records disclosed today that the company has accumulated rich industry experience in the field of safety monitoring of nuclear power engineering safety shells. In the past 20 years, the market share in the safety monitoring field of “Hualong 1” nuclear power reactor safety shell structures has reached more than 90%, and is currently the only domestic instrument manufacturer that has been widely recognized in the nuclear power engineering safety monitoring market and has passed expert reviews.

A Financial Services Association reporter noticed that in the past few days, nearly 10 institutions, including CITIC Securities, China Merchants Securities, Open Source Securities, GF Securities, and Minsheng Securities, have published research reports on expectations for controlled nuclear fusion. Among them, CITIC Securities believes that 2023 is the “first year” of domestic controlled nuclear fusion, and 2024 may usher in centralized bidding for projects. China Merchants Securities said that, driven by huge commercial and strategic value, the technological development and commercialization process of controlled nuclear fusion is expected to accelerate.

Today, a number of listed companies are also responding to investors' questions on interactive platforms, but they all mainly “dismiss” the relationship with controlled nuclear fusion.
