From January to November, China's software and information technology service industry (hereinafter referred to as “software industry”) operated smoothly. Software business revenue grew rapidly, total profit maintained double-digit growth, and the decline in software business exports continued to narrow.

I. Overall operation

Business revenue is growing rapidly. From January to November, China's software business revenue was 11044.7 billion yuan, an increase of 13.9% over the previous year.

Total profit continued to grow in double digits. From January to November, the total profit of the software industry was 1303.3 billion yuan, an increase of 12.9% over the previous year.

The decline in exports continued to narrow. From January to November, the software business exported US$44.95 billion, down 3.8% year on year.

II. Operation by field

Revenue from software products is growing rapidly. From January to November, the revenue of software products was 2586.2 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3% over the previous year, accounting for 23.4% of the industry's revenue. Among them, the revenue of industrial software products was 25.9 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2% over the previous year.

Revenue from information technology services is growing steadily. From January to November, IT service revenue was 7324.3 billion yuan, an increase of 15.1% over the previous year, accounting for 66.3% of the industry's revenue. Among them, cloud computing and big data services achieved a total revenue of 1123.2 billion yuan, an increase of 15% over the previous year, accounting for 15.3% of information technology service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue of 278.7 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2% over the previous year; and e-commerce platform technology service revenue of 1022 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7% over the previous year.

Information security revenue is growing steadily. From January to November, revenue from information security products and services was 191 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5% over the previous year.

Embedded systems software revenue grew by double digits. From January to November, embedded system software revenue was 943.2 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6% over the previous year.

III. Operation by region

Revenue growth in the software industry in the eastern region accelerated, while other regions declined slightly. From January to November, the eastern region completed software business revenue of 9109.5 billion yuan, up 14.5% year on year, and the growth rate was 0.6 percentage points higher than January-October; the central region completed software business revenue of 569.3 billion yuan, up 14.8% year on year, down 3 percentage points from January-October; the western region completed software business revenue of 1121.5 billion yuan, up 9% year on year, down 1.2 percentage points from January-October; the Northeast region completed software business revenue of 244.4 billion yuan, up 13% year on year, down 0.6 percent from January-October Percentage points. Software business revenue in the four regions accounted for 82.5%, 5.2%, 10.2%, and 2.2% of the country's total revenue, respectively.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is showing remarkable growth, and the revenue from software business in the Yangtze River Delta region is rising steadily. From January to November, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region completed software business revenue of 2686.2 billion yuan, up 17.6% year on year, and 0.1 percentage points higher than January-October; completed software business revenue in the Yangtze River Delta region was 3229.6 billion yuan, up 12.2% year on year, and 1.6 percentage points higher than January-October. Software business revenue in the two regions accounted for 24.3% and 29.2% of the country's total revenue, respectively.

The revenue share of major software provinces continues to rise. From January to November, among the top 5 provinces with software business revenue, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Shanghai had software revenue of 2375.6 billion yuan, 1819 billion yuan, 1292 billion yuan, 1231.5 billion yuan and 1018.4 billion yuan respectively, up 17.8%, 14.2%, 13.2%, 16.2% and 18.5% respectively. The total software business revenue of the five provinces (cities) was 773.65 billion yuan, accounting for 70% of the country's share, up 1.2 percentage points from the same period last year.

Revenue from the software business in central cities is growing steadily. From January to November, the country's 15 sub-provincial central cities achieved software business revenue of 534.1.5 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3% over the previous year. The growth rate was 0.3 percentage points higher than in January-October, accounting for 48.4% of the country's software business revenue, accounting for a decline of 1.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the revenue growth rate of the software business in Wuhan, Dalian, Shenzhen and Jinan exceeds the overall growth rate of the entire industry.
