Sakura Internet Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka-shi, Osaka; President: Tanaka Kunihiro; hereafter, Sakura Internet), which provides cloud computing services, will participate as the 3rd phase operator of the public-private collaboration startup support facility “Fukuoka Growth Next” (FGN) utilizing the former Daimyo Elementary School in Fukuoka City, and will develop new startup support measures starting 2024.

We see “regional revitalization” and “startup support” as growth areas, and we have been putting effort into supporting startups rooted in the community for some time. We have mainly provided continuous accompanying support for local communities, and FGN's efforts are one of them.

This project was proposed by four companies, Fukuoka Jisho Co., Ltd., Sakura Internet, GMO Pepabo Co., Ltd., and Four Startups Co., Ltd., as joint ventures to the “Fukuoka City Startup Support Facility Operation Project” public offering carried out by Fukuoka City. Furthermore, we will continue to be involved in the operation of Sakura Internet from Phase 1.

In the 3rd FGN, we will implement the following measures to make Fukuoka City a city where more startups are concentrated and born.
　1. Networked supported startups as Fukuoka Growth Network
　2. Integrate the operations of Startup Cafe and FGN
　3. Strengthen support for university-initiated startups
4. Support back office operations for startups
5. Renewal of the event space

Going forward, we will continue to make efforts to support startups in Fukuoka City by being involved in the operation of the 3rd FGN and contribute to regional revitalization.
