On December 1, Omar Al Suwaidi, Deputy Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) of the UAE, visited the joint booth.

Newton previously passed inspections by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, including an audit of the supply chain, warehousing, production processes, quality control, and quality assurance of Newton's assembly facility in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Economic Zone (KEZAD). As a result, Newton can now label products as “Made in the UAE” and the Rabdan One is the first new energy vehicle in the UAE to carry this logo.

It is reported that the “Made in UAE” logo is a new quality mark for products manufactured in the UAE introduced by MoIat. The logo aims to increase consumer confidence in local products. It indicates that products meet national quality and safety standards in order to improve competitiveness in international markets.

MoIat is playing a critical role in supporting the UAE's ambitious goal of zero emissions by 2050 in several key areas: promoting advanced technology, policy development and implementation, working with relevant partners, encouraging research and innovation, ensuring sustainable industrial development, and sustainable education and awareness. By focusing on these areas, MoIAT has made a significant contribution to the UAE's goal of zero emissions by 2050, making industrial growth highly consistent with environmental sustainability.

On November 30, Executive Director of the Industrial Development Office of the Ministry of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi, Eng. Arafat Al Yafei came to the joint booth.

In June 2022, Abu Dhabi released its Industrial Strategy (ADIS). By 2031, the scale of Abu Dhabi's manufacturing industry will more than double to 172 billion dirhams, create 13,600 technical jobs, and promote exports of non-petroleum products.

In July 2023, Newton signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Economic Development, which has the potential to revolutionize the automotive industry in Abu Dhabi. According to the memorandum of understanding, Newton will build an integrated production line and expand its plant in Abu Dhabi in line with the highest international standards. The memorandum of understanding also requires the two sides to cooperate with each other to accelerate the development of the modern automobile industry and transportation in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, the MOU aims to foster an innovative community that actively promotes automotive technology trends while strengthening cooperation in the green economy and environment.

The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Economic Development has contributed to the UAE's 2050 zero emissions goal through a number of initiatives and strategies, with a focus on sustainable economic development. These include promoting sustainable economic growth, promoting investment and partnerships in the renewable energy and clean technology industries, implementing green building and infrastructure standards, promoting sustainable transportation solutions, and partnering with other government entities, international organizations, and the private sector.

As an important strategic move, Newton and Abu Dhabi Ports Group also signed a memorandum of understanding focusing on logistics, local manufacturing, transportation, customs clearance, financing, and vehicle sales. This partnership will facilitate Newton's expansion in the UAE and contribute to Abu Dhabi's economic development.
