On December 1, JAC announced that it has signed a “Smart New Energy Vehicle Cooperation Agreement” with Huawei Terminal Co., Ltd. The overall responsibility for product development of cooperative models is JAC, and JAC is responsible for building a production base to achieve delivery of cooperative models; JAC has agreed that Huawei Terminal or its designated third party will exclusively provide sales services for cooperative models worldwide.

According to information, the joint model between JAC and Huawei targets luxury intelligent connected electric vehicles and is expected to enter the luxury passenger car market of more than 500,000. Currently, in the Huawei Hongmeng Zhixing series, Wenjie and Zhijie brands focus on the 200,000 to 350,000 yuan price range, forming misplaced competition in the matrix of major brands. Guotai Junan Research Report points out that as the Huawei ecosystem gradually matures, it will bring more opportunities for domestic supply chain manufacturers to participate in the wave of automobile intelligence. Given that the Huawei terminal has successful experience in building high-end products in the user field, the strong alliance between JAC and Huawei terminals will achieve complementary advantages.
