The Zhitong Finance App learned that the July statistics released by the Hong Kong Land Registry on August 2 showed that 6,380 contracts for all types of property sales were submitted for registration by the Hong Kong Land Registry in July, up 2.7% from the previous month and down 24.6% from the previous year.

Based on the 12-month moving average, the number of property sales contracts in July was 6144, down 2.7% month-on-month and 18.8% year-on-year.

The total value of property sales contracts in July was HK$54 billion, up 0.3% month-on-month and down 45.7% year-on-year.

Among the above sales contracts, residential property sales contracts accounted for 4,805, up 3.8% from the previous month and down 21.1% from the previous year.

The total value of residential property sales contracts in July was HK$44.1 billion, down 2.8% month-on-month and 32.4% year-on-year.
