According to the Zhitong Finance App, Kaimei Gas (002549.SZ) announced that according to the notice from the upstream Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., the company headquarters scheduled the discontinuation of production and relocation of the headquarters production plant on November 26, 2023, according to the plan. After the headquarters production area was discontinued, it was relocated to the Yueyang Green Chemical High-tech Zone. The first phase of the project used a total land area of 79 acres. The company fully considers the gas industry chain development plan, supports the gas resources required for the Yueyang Green Chemical High-tech Zone, and designs and implements new project planning plans.

According to the announcement, the company has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Yueyang Kaimete Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., to implement a comprehensive exhaust gas recovery and utilization project for supporting caprolactam industry chain installations. The project uses caprolactam industry chain relocation, upgrading, transformation, and development project exhaust as the main raw material to produce high-purity carbon dioxide; uses poor krypton xenon liquid oxygen and crude neon helium nitrogen for the caprolactam industry chain relocation and upgrade transformation development project to supply Yueyang Kaimete Electronics Special Rare Gas Co., Ltd. to produce electronic specialty gas products such as krypton, neon, and helium. The main components of the KEMET Environmental Protection Company project have all been completed, and the installation of equipment has basically been completed. Currently, the installation of pipelines, electricity, instruments, etc. and preparations for operation are being carried out in an intense and orderly manner.

The announcement stated that the company will use this relocation as an opportunity to optimize production equipment and product structure and achieve product structure upgrading and adjustment.
