Heitech Padu, Paos Counters Spike, Both Hitting 52-week Highs

Heitech Padu Bhd and Paos Holdings Bhd saw their counters spiking to hit their respective 51-week highs today.

Heitech Padu Bhd share price surged 42.9% while Paos was up by 32.3%.

Heitech Padu's counter was the second highest top gainer, closing at RM1.00, maintaining its market capitalisation at RM101.2 million.

In an exchange filing on Nov 1, Heitech Padu said it secured a RM29.68 million contract to enhance the IT technology system for the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). The 36-month contract runs until October 2026.

Paos's counter was the sixth highest top gainer, closing at 43 sen, valuing the company at RM77.9 million.

In an exchange filing on Oct 27, the bar soap manufacturer posted its net profit of RM92,000 for the first quarter ended Aug 31, 2023 (1Q24), compared to a net loss of RM877,000 in the same period last year.

Its revenue for the quarter was up 63.1% at RM252.8 million mainly due to increase in fuel oil volume as well as increase in hotel occupancy.

Paos said it was cautiously optimistic of the performance of the group for the financial year 2023/2024 amidst challenges from the prevailing economic conditions.

It will remain resilient and vigilant in addressing these challenges in its business activities moving forward.
