According to the Zhitong Finance App, Oriental Huicai Securities (08001) announced its interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023, with revenue of HK$1.064 million, a year-on-year decrease of 46.29%; profit attributable to company owners of HK$1,777 million, a year-on-year decrease of 73.94%; profit per share of HK$1.43 cents.

According to the announcement, the decline in earnings was mainly due to a decrease in interest income from lending services. The decrease in profit was mainly due to a decrease in interest income from lending services of about HK$7.5 million; and confirmation of expenses of HK$2 million already paid to debt collection companies for debt collection.
