Gelonghui October 23 丨The Bank of China (03988.HK) announced. The Bank's 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 30, 2023 deliberated and approved the Bank's proposal to issue no more than 450 billion yuan or equivalent foreign currency capital instruments. With the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities, the Bank issued secondary capital bonds totaling 70 billion yuan in the national interbank bond market on October 19, 2023, and completed the issuance on October 23, 2023.

There are two types of bonds in this issue. Type 1 is a 10-year fixed interest rate bond, with an issuance scale of 45 billion yuan, with a coupon interest rate of 3.43%, with issuer redemption rights at the end of the 5th year; type 2 is a 15-year fixed interest rate bond with an issuance scale of 25 billion yuan, coupon interest rate of 3.53%, and issuer redemption rights at the end of the 10th year.

The funds raised by this issue of the bond will supplement the Bank's secondary capital in accordance with applicable law and the approval of the regulatory authorities.
