Zhitong Financial APP learned that China Construction Fortis (00138) rose more than 24%. As of press time, it rose 24% to HK $0.31, with a turnover of HK $1.25 million. The company's share price hit a new high, up 114% since July.
On the news side, China Construction Fortis recently announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with an income of HK $442 million, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year, and a loss of HK $99 million for equity owners of the parent company, an increase of 482.4% over the same period last year. Loss per share is HK $0.094.
The loss during the period was mainly due to the lack of income from one-off litigation (June 30, 2022: HK $93 million) and the surge in interest rates, resulting in an increase of HK $21 million in financing costs, the announcement said.
In addition, China Construction Fortis recently announced that all the prerequisites set out in the Convertible Bond placing Agreement had been met and the Convertible Bond placement had been completed on August 18, 2023.
