The demand for the two standard iPhone 15 is about the same as last year. Demand for the iPhone 15 Pro is weaker than last year. One of the main reasons may be that more advanced users are switching to pre-order the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. According to past experience, the iPhone pre-order numbers on some Chinese shopping websites will be distorted. Because pre-orders do not require a deposit, they cannot reflect actual pre-order requirements. Currently, we still maintain the estimate that about 80 million iPhone 15 units will be shipped this year.

Guo Mingyi said that the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a significantly longer waiting time than other models, not entirely due to strong demand. Due to the late mass production schedule of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there are currently few shipments, and the current production problems are significantly more serious than other models.

Before the iPhone 15 press conference, the market's expectations for the iPhone 15 were conservative. Guo Mingyi believes that the pre-order results of the iPhone 15 are actually about the same as the iPhone 14, but since market expectations have already been lowered first, the iPhone 15 pre-order results are better than what the market is worried about.

Guo Mingyi stressed that the return of Huawei is unlikely to have any impact on the iPhone, but the extent of the impact still needs to be observed. However, this impact will not be reflected in pre-orders of the iPhone 15 in the Chinese market. People who pre-order iPhones are originally core users or Apple fans; these people are not the current target customers of Huawei phones in the first place.
