比亚迪王传福建议禁售燃油车 2030年实现私家车电动化

On July 2, at the 2019 World New Energy Vehicle Conference,BYDChairman of the Board of Directors Wang Chuanfu delivered a keynote speech.Proposals have been put forward to comprehensively promote electric vehicles while gradually banning the sale of fuel vehicles, and it is also proposed to set the time point for the electrification of domestic private cars until 2030.

Wang Chuanfu said that many countries have set a schedule to ban the production or sales of fuel vehicles. For example, Norway and the Netherlands are set before 2025, India is before 2030, and Britain and France are before 2040. Wang Chuanfu put forward suggestions on this, hoping to further restrict the gradual complete ban on the sale of traditional domestic fuel vehicles and support the full electrification of new energy vehicles.

Wang Chuanfu proposed that cities with restricted automobile purchases, such as those going north to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, fully open up restrictions on new energy vehicles and grant more preferential policies such as traffic and charging; or, on the premise of controlling the total number of vehicles, the target should be completely skewed towards NEVs, releasing the huge purchasing power that has been suppressed.

Furthermore, Wang Chuanfu also suggested that the country formulate a medium- to long-term development plan for comprehensive electrification as soon as possible, promote the electrification process, and suggest formulating timetables by field. For example, buses will be fully electrified in 2020, taxis will be fully electrified in 2022, urban logistics and special vehicles will be fully electrified in 2025, and private cars will gradually be electrified in 2030.

It has to be said that when it comes to electrification, BYD is fully motivated. The financial report for the first half of 2018 shows that BYD's new energy vehicle revenue reached 18.173 billion yuan, accounting for 34.84% of BYD's total revenue, making it an important source of revenue and profit for BYD.
