The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 13, the Hong Kong Lands Department announced that site No. 6590 of Site 2 and Site 3 in Kai Tak, Kowloon, was granted HK$5.35 billion to form a consortium of HK$5.35 billion, China Overseas Development (00688), Eagle King (00041), and Chinese Real Estate (00127). The land price per foot was about HK$5,392 per foot, in line with market expectations, but the price per foot was at a new low in the same area in the past 10 years.

The land was originally scheduled to close on September 8, but due to weather conditions, the tender deadline was postponed to September 11. A total of 6 tenders were received, including Huidefeng Real Estate, Nan Fung Group, Henderson Land (00012), Changshi Group (01113), and Sun Hung Kai Properties (00016). Meanwhile, CITIC collaborated with China Overseas, Yingjun, and Huazhi's joint consortium to win the bid.

According to reports, the site area of New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6590 is about 13,499 square meters and is designated for non-industrial (excluding warehouses, hotels and gas stations). The minimum and maximum floor areas were 55,311 square meters and 92185 square meters respectively. Neither of these excludes the floor area of government areas to be constructed by the buyer in accordance with the conditions of sale of the land, such as the Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, the severely mentally handicapped, the disabled, the District Support Centre for the Disabled, the Boys' Home, the Online Youth Support Team Centre and the parking area.
