Zhitong Financial APP News, Tianyuan Medical (00557) released its results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with turnover of HK $23.768 million, down 4.9% from the same period last year; loss attributable to shareholders was HK $6.57 million, down 64.6% from the same period last year; and the basic loss per share was HK1.64 cents.

The decrease in loss during the period was mainly due to a net realised and unrealised valuation loss of approximately HK $3 million in securities traded in the same period last year, which was converted into a net realised and unrealised valuation gain of HK $3.5 million during the period. At the same time, the increase in interest income from third-party loans by HK $2 million further reduced the loss compared with the same period last year.
