Therefore, the division achieved a net loss in the first half of 2023; and as far as the Group's fresh food retail business division is concerned, the “Farmer and Herder” S2B2C platform is still in the consolidation stage, focusing on optimizing the network of cooperative stores, enriching product types, and adjusting business strategies. Furthermore, pig prices in mainland China have shown a downward trend since the fourth quarter of 2022, causing treasurers' trading intentions to decrease in the first half of 2023, thereby affecting pig purchases. As a result of the above, sales in the first half of 2023 were significantly lower than in the first half of 2022, while sales costs and other related costs and expenses also declined significantly.
