According to the Zhitong Finance App, Lianhua Super Market (00980) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023. The group achieved a turnover of RMB 11.772 billion (same unit), a year-on-year decrease of 13.35%; the company's shareholders accounted for a loss of 116 million yuan, compared to a profit of 14.404 million yuan for the same period last year; a basic loss of 0.104 yuan per share.
In the first half of 2023, turnover reached 11.772 billion yuan, down about 13.3% year on year, and same-store sales decreased by about 12.2% year on year. Among them, the large integrated supermarket business declined by about 26.5%, the supermarket business grew by about 1.8%, and the convenience store business grew by about 16.7%.
As of June 30, 2023, the Group had 3,362 stores. During the review period, the Group opened 141 new stores, including 128 new stores in the supermarket business, including 42 direct-run stores and 86 franchise stores; 13 new convenience stores were opened, including 4 direct-run stores and 9 franchise stores.
