According to the Zhitong Finance App, Kaishaoye Health (00876) announced that the Group is expected to earn no less than HK$35 million in profit attributable to company owners for the six months ending June 30, 2023, an improvement from the net loss attributable to company owners of about HK$97 million for the six months ended June 30, 2022.

According to the announcement, the main reasons for turning losses into profit were as follows: (i) The profit from the sale of subsidiaries for the six months ended June 30, 2023 was approximately HK$68 million, mainly due to the Group's confirmation that the fair value of retained interests was re-measured; (ii) the fair value gain of financial liabilities recorded at fair value for the six months ending June 30, 2023 was approximately HK$870,000, while losses for the same period in 2022 were approximately HK$22 million; (iii) The impairment loss was drastically reduced by about HK$47 million, resulting in the loss of ten-mile rehabilitation business in Zhuhai on June 30, 2023 Control of the Lianjiang International Health City Development Project; and (iv) administrative expenses for the six months ended June 30, 2023 were approximately HK$27 million, compared to approximately HK$47 million for the same period in 2022.
