According to the Zhitong Finance App, Gaoshi International (08042) announced that the Group expects a net profit of about HK$1.2 million for the six months ending June 30, 2023, while the net profit for the same period in 2022 will be around HK$12.4 million.

According to the announcement, net profit obtained in the six months ended June 30, 2023 declined from the same period in 2022, mainly due to (i) the Group's revenue from recruitment services in the six months ended June 30, 2023 decreased compared to the same period in 2022, due to a decrease in revenue from the Group's operations in mainland China; (ii) increased employee costs as the Group is expanding its operations in Hong Kong and Singapore; and (iii) the Group's Singapore operations are in their infancy, and it will take time for the Group to gain a steady foothold in the local market in order to make a positive contribution to the Group's performance.
