According to the Zhitong Finance App, Open Source Holdings (01215) announced that the Group expects to obtain losses of about HK$2 million due to company owners in the six months ending June 30, 2023, while losses of about HK$22.1 million will be achieved in the first half of 2022.

The sharp reduction in losses expected in the medium term is mainly due to gross profit of about HK$30.8 million (mainly from Paris Marriott Hotel Champs-Élysées) of about HK$30.8 million (first half of 2022: gross loss of about HK$18.3 million), due to the fact that Paris Marriott Hotel was partially closed for renovation in the early stages; however, this was partially offset by the following factors: Other earnings were reduced to about HK$15.7 million (first half of 2022: about HK$26 million), mainly due to the fact that it did not receive the government in the medium term Grants; provision of approximately HK$3.5 million for impairment of loans accrued to assets pledged by a joint venture company (first half of 2022: none); and reduction of income tax credits to approximately HK$200,000 (first half of 2022: approximately HK$5.7 million).
