Subscription Ratings and Opinions

The Group's revenue and profit have been growing steadily over the past three years, with revenue of 3.9 billion yuan and net profit of 58 million yuan in 2016. The businesses were automatic meter reading business and intelligent energy management business respectively, which accounted for 96.5% and 3.5% of revenue in 2016, respectively. The automatic meter reading business refers to the development of power carrier chips using a proprietary integrated circuit design and advanced power line carrier communication technology to configure automatic meter reading systems for the State Grid Corporation in 2010. The customer relationship between China Grid and the Group is stable. In the past three years, sales of automatic meter reading products (electronic carrier chips and communication modules) have increased year by year, with sales of 13 million units in 2016. However, due to the national grid's government background and the relatively long payment approval process, the resulting trade receivables and trade receivables turnover days are likely to continue to increase in the future. The intelligent energy management business refers to the provision of power line carrier communication products and solutions for various applications related to energy saving and environmental protection, such as street light control, building energy management, and photovoltaic power generation management. In 2016, the Group was the largest supplier of power line carrier communication solutions for street light control in China. Based on the sales volume of power line carrier communication products, the market share was 48.1%. The Group's power line carrier communication products and solutions were sold to street light control customers in 15 provinces of China and used in building energy management projects in 16 cities in China. By the end of 2016, the Group's research team comprised 140 people, based in Shenzhen, Wuxi, Changsha and Hong Kong, accounting for about 10% of R&D expenditure. China's power line carrier communication market is mainly concentrated in five major operators, which together account for more than 85% of the market share, and the Group ranked third with a market share of 11.2%. Based on the prospectus price calculation, the Group's price-earnings ratio ranged from 11 times to 12.2 times, which is highly valued compared to the 10.7 times price-earnings ratio of Weisheng Group (3393), which has a similar business. Overall, the company was given a “neutral” rating, with an overall rating of 5.6.
