The company sold for $36 million, accounting for only 1% of its valuation of $3.7 billion before listing on the NASDAQ last year. In March, Virgin Orbit said it would cut 85% of its workforce after failing to secure new investment. At the beginning of April, the company filed for bankruptcy protection in the US.
