According to the Zhitong Finance App, Aidali Network (08033) announced results for the 3 months ending March 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$85,399 million, a decrease of 3.45% over the previous year; loss attributable to owners of the parent company was HK$106.09 million, an increase of 94.55% over the previous year; and a loss of HK1.72 cents per share.
The first few months of the year traditionally saw a slowdown in terms of new business. Coupled with a backlog of over HK$70 million in the delivery period of switches and high-end routers (which will be deployed in the data center of a first-tier Internet technology leader operating creative content platforms in Europe and North America), the Group only generated revenue of HK$85399 million over a three-month period, down 3.45% from HK$884.53 million in the first quarter of 2022. Despite a slight increase in gross margin of 1.47 percentage points to 18.80%, intense competition in gaming operator engineering and fierce competition from other software-defined wide area network competitors continued to put pressure on the Group's gross margin.
