According to the "next Generation Cloud Strategy in Asian Market" survey released by BABA's Aliyun on March 7, 84% of Asian companies that have already used cloud services plan to increase their investment in cloud services in 2023. In addition, more than 80% of enterprises (84%) plan to achieve full cloud access within two years. Aliyun commissioned NielsenIQ, a global market research company, to visit more than 1000 cloud policy makers in eight Asian markets between late September and early October last year, of which companies from Thailand (95 per cent), Indonesia (94 per cent), the Philippines (91 per cent), Hong Kong (83 per cent) and Singapore (83 per cent) were the most willing to increase investment, while a larger proportion of Japanese and South Korean respondents said they would maintain their current investment levels. In the industry, the gaming industry is expected to have the largest investment growth, followed by media and telecommunications, the Internet and technology, and financial services. In terms of key investment areas, most Asian companies will pay more attention to data analysis and artificial intelligence (53%), cloud computing (52%), and automation (46%).
