The bank expects that the gold industry's revenue last year was about 486 million US dollars, an increase of 115% over the previous year, while EBITDA was about 254 million US dollars; this means that the EBITDA for the fourth quarter of last year alone was about 71 million US dollars, up from 53 million US dollars in the third quarter of last year. As last year's recovery was slower than expected, Bank of America lowered the gold sector's EBITDA forecasts for last year and this year by 11% and 28% respectively. The target price of shares fell slightly from HK$10.3 to HK$10.2, maintaining the “buy” rating.
