According to the Zhitong Finance App, Xinhua News Media (00309) announced results for the six months ending September 30, 2022, with revenue of about HK$128 million, a decrease of 5.4% over the previous year; loss attributable to company owners of HK$9.491 million, an increase of about 82.91% over the previous year; and a loss of HK$0.0051 per share.

The announcement stated that the decline in earnings was mainly due to the Group's failure to renew a number of existing cleaning contracts during the reporting period. However, the Group also successfully renewed a number of existing cleaning contracts and won a number of new cleaning contracts, thereby mitigating the negative impact of these matters on profits.
