The Zhitong Finance App learned that on November 15, due to news of the rapid expansion of China's Topcon battery production capacity, the A-share TOPCON battery sector continued to rise. As of press release, Suzhou Guzhan (002079.SZ) and Baoxin Technology (002514.SZ) rose and stopped, and Xing Shuier (002860.SZ), Teke (300842.SZ), JP (688025.SH), Yijing Optoelectronics (600537.SH), Saiwu Technology (), Junda Co., Ltd. (002865.SZ) 603212.SH Stocks such as Dongfang Risheng (300118.SZ) pulled up and followed suit.
At the 2022 PV New Energy Industry Development Jintan Changdanghu Summit held recently, Song Dengyuan, chairman of SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards and Technology Committee, revealed that at present, companies have industrialized TOPCON batteries more than 25% efficiently, and have achieved mass shipments this year. Under huge market demand, the photovoltaic industry is developing strongly. Leading companies are actively promoting mass production and upgrading of new technologies. At the same time, a number of photovoltaic companies that have mastered emerging cutting-edge technology have risen to prominence. Currently, photovoltaic cell technology has basically formed four mainstream technologies: TOPCON, heterojunction (HJT), IBC, and perovskite. Song Dengyuan believes that, supported by the advantages of mass production at reduced costs, higher economy, and high efficiency potential, TOPCON will be the mainstream of future technology.
According to SMM statistics, China's Topcon battery production capacity expanded rapidly this year. Currently, 49.4 GW of production has been put into operation. The production capacity under construction is 60.5 GW, and the planned production capacity has reached 206 GW. TopCon battery production capacity is expected to reach 77.4 GW by the end of 2022. Production capacity is mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang, accounting for 42.76%, 31.01%, and 19.38% respectively. TopCon battery production capacity is expected to reach 305.9 GW by the end of 2023, of which the annual new production capacity will reach 228.5 GW. The new production capacity will be mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang and Shanxi.
