DJ S&P Downgrades California Utilities -- Market Talk

12:56 ET - S&P Global Ratings has downgraded its credit ratings for Edison International and its subsidiary, Southern California Edison, as well as San Diego Gas & Electric as part of a reassessment of the risks facing California utilities. The ratings agency says the downgrades reflected the utilities' continued exposure to wildfire-related liability risk. The downgrades follow PG&E's disclosure that it intends to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection at the end of the month. (katherine.blunt@wsj.com)
