Starbucks (Starbucks Co. , SBUX) said on Tuesday that following the success of the initial pilot in Miami, it will expand the takeout program with Uber Eats (Uber Eats) to six more US cities.
The Seattle-based coffee chain said the service will go live in San Francisco on Tuesday and expand to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington in the next few weeks.
According to the company, the service includes about 95% of Starbucks's core menu options, and the order fee is initially set at $2.49.
Starbucks said last year that it plans to provide this service in nearly a quarter of its more than 8,000 directly-managed stores in the US. The company said on Tuesday that these plans are still on track.
Starbucks said it also plans to expand its takeout service to more international markets this year, and the company will launch a limited pilot project with Premium Food in London.
