财报不及预期,大摩盘前跌超4%

Futu News reported on January 17 that Morgan Stanley's net revenue for the fourth quarter of 2018 was 8.5 billion US dollars, compared to 9.5 billion US dollars for the same period last year; net profit attributable to common shareholders was 1,531 million US dollars, compared to 516 million US dollars in the same period last year; earnings per share were 0.8 US dollars, adjusted earnings of 73 cents per share, with an estimated 89 cents. Additionally, Daimo announced that it will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per share on February 15, 2019.

In terms of specific business, investment banking revenue was US$1.49 billion;Stock and trading revenue for the fourth quarter of 2018 was US$1,903 million, lower than market expectations of RMB 2.01 billion;Stock underwriting revenue was US$323 million, down from US$416 million in the same period last year, mainly due to declining IPO revenue;Revenue from the fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities business (FICC) was US$564 million, far below market expectations of US$820 million;Net income from wealth management was US$4.144 billion, lower than US$4.407 billion in the same period last year.
