Sogou released the company's unaudited financial report for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018 on Tuesday.

Financial reports show that Sogou's total revenue for the first quarter was 248.4 million US dollars, an increase of 53% over the previous year; according to US GAAP, net profit attributable to Sogou was 15.3 million US dollars, an increase of 25% over the same period last year.

Sogou CEO Wang Xiaochuan said, “Our first quarter earnings report was very healthy. As we expanded our unique content in key areas such as healthcare and education, and further highlighted our search services, our core search business grew more than 50% year over year in the first quarter.”
